Working Process

1. Meet & greet

This is the first stage where we will meet up to discuss your project. If it’s a deck or pergola you’re after, I’ll arrange for my draftsman to meet with you to measure up before drawing the plans of the project. If it's an extension, renovation or new build, you will most likely already have your plans and engineering consultation done. In that case, we’ll take a detailed look at the plans for any potential issues to ensure everything is agreed upon before we start. I will look over the plans and supply a quote based on our discussions, and be in touch via email if I need anything further.

2. Permits & paperwork

Once the quote has been accepted, I'll draw up a contract (which is all done online) for you to approve and review before finalising. Once they confirm everything is OK with the contract, we’ll arrange to meet in person to sign the final contract. I will then organise the relevant permit and insurances needed in order to get the job underway. This is all done for you and there is nothing you need to do, except perhaps supply a signature!

3. Preparing your site

We’ll firstly discuss what will be needed in terms of access and entry to site or your house, including ensuring you put away any furniture, or secure pets that may get in the way. I’ll also update you with how things are progressing and who to expect when work starts.

4. Managing your project

I make contact with each of my trades prior to work commencing to make sure they're available when I need them to be, give them the agreed timeframe of when the job is commencing and when I'll need them on site. I will keep you informed every couple of days with the progress of the job and also let you know who will be on site a day to day basis.

5. The build

The timeframe will be stated in the contract as closely as possible. I understand that even the smallest of disruption to your daily routine can be annoying, so I ensure things are arranged in an orderly fashion and completed as fast as possible. I have very reliable tradespeople that know to keep their work area tidy and to clean up after themselves at the end of the day.

6. The hand over

At this final sign off stage, I will meet with you to do a walk through to make sure you’re totally satisfied with the result and comfortable with how the project has gone. Further down the track, I will touch base to make sure you’re still happy and reassure you that you’re welcome to contact me anytime if there's anything at all you need.
